Geely has launched the Galaxy Battleship 700, its first electrified off-road SUV, in China. It starts at about $26,800 (about AED 98,400), takes more than 10,000 firm orders in its first 12 minutes, and offers a tri-motor hybrid with up to 1,113 hp and a combined range of over 1,770 km.
The launch
Geely Galaxy launched the Battleship 700 on 10 October 2026. It is a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid SUV and the first production model on Geely’s GTA architecture for electrified all-terrain vehicles. Pre-sales earlier drew 43,900 orders in the first hour. Hong Kong star Nicholas Tse is the spokesperson, and Geely says deliveries in China are expected by the end of 2026.
Price
The Battleship 700 comes in six configurations in China, from about $26,800 (about AED 98,400) to about $55,200 (about AED 202,700). Geely priced it roughly $4,500 (about AED 16,400) below the pre-sale prices once launch incentives and trade-in subsidies are counted, according to 36Kr. It competes with the BYD Fangchengbao Ti7.

Design and technology
The boxy body has “Sky Eye” front lights made of 228 LEDs and an illuminated logo, with orange trim and a tow hook at the front. A 192-line LiDAR sits on the roof. Inside is a five-screen setup running Flyme Auto 2 on the Longying 6P chip, with satellite connectivity. Geely’s G-Pilot driver-assistance system runs on a chip rated at 700 TOPS, and the seats offer massage, heating and ventilation.
Will it reach the UAE?
Geely hasn’t announced Middle East plans for the Battleship 700, and prices above are for China only. Carsales reports the car is due in Australia in the second half of 2027, which suggests export plans. For UAE buyers who like desert driving, a boxy plug-in hybrid with this much ground clearance and range will be one to watch. Geely already has a presence in the UAE, so keep an eye on its regional announcements.
