It was the Silver Ghost that helped Rolls-Royce to establish its reputation for what can be termed as the best cars in the world. To celebrate this renowned model, Rolls-Royce has launched a limited collection of Bespoke Ghosts called the “Silver Ghost Collection”. The collection will comprise only 35 Bespoke Ghosts. To celebrate this collection, Rolls-Royce has even released a film that showcases the contemporary version of the elegant Ghost.
Commenting on the “Silver Ghost Collection”, Matthew Butt, Product Manager – Ghost, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said that the company paid careful consideration to its defining features. Many references pertaining to the model’s glorious past have been skillfully incorporated by hand into the exterior and the interior of the Ghost, thus paying homage both to the original Ghost and extolling the current version of the model. This makes the Collection a truly remarkable one.
The Spirit of Ecstasy used as the hood ornament for the vehicles in the collection is made of solid sterling-silver. The Spirit of Ecstasy has served as the muse that has guided the destiny of the brand from 1911, and points to its pioneering heritage. A specially created Hallmark of AX201, the registration plate of the original ‘Silver Ghost’, is marked on the base of each muse Spirit of Ecstasy and the base is circled by a black-gold-plated collar, thus attesting to the unique identity of this collection. An insert has been specially made from hammered copper to acknowledge the extensive use of copper in the engine bay of the original ‘Silver Ghost’. This copper insert which is shaped, beaten and textured is also engraved with the newly designed AX201 Hallmark.
