As a tribute to the founding father of the UAE, the late President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Motors has commissioned a collection of seven Bespoke Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The number of cars reflects the number of emirates in the country and each of the cars will be highly customized to reflect different aspects of the country.
The Wisdom Collection includes a Phantom VII, two Phantom Coupés, two Wraiths, a Ghost and a Dawn. The seven cars were conceptualized by Joseph Tayar, Rolls-Royce Brand Manager in Abu Dhabi Motors created and painstakingly customized over a period of one year at the company’s factory in Goodwood, England.
‘The Wisdom Phantom VII’ which is inspired by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most impressive cars in the collection and pays tribute to the late President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who took the initiative to bring the different emirates together to form the UAE in 1971. It features the largest complex embroidery ever made by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars which took over 800 hours to make and comprises 390,000 stitches. The Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi was envisioned by Sheikh Zayed during his lifetime and was completed after he passed away.
Of the two Phantom Coupés in the collection, one was inspired by Qasr Al-Hosn Fort, the oldest stone building in Abu Dhabi, which was built to safeguard the only freshwater well in the city. The Qasr Al-Hosn Phantom Coupé accurately reflects the fort’s simple elegance and its rich history through its pastel shades and its intricate details. The second Phantom Drophead Coupé was inspired by Desert Rose.
The two Wraiths in the collection are also highly striking. The Falconry Wraith depicts the essence of falconry with the falcon’s wings symbolizing protection and the talons representing menace to evildoers. The falcon stands for strength, authority, and power and this comes across clearly in the car. The second Wraith represents the Sheikh Zayed Bridge through its dramatic, flowing form and even a representation of the bridge’s bright illumination at night. This is echoed in the Royal Blue exterior and touches of Royal Blue in the interiors.
The Dawn in The Wisdom Collection reflects the UAE’s renowned pearling tradition with interior and exterior blue and white touches that are evocative of the sea.
Lastly, the unique Ghost in the collection depicts the importance of trade in the country with its Sandstone exterior paint, Andalusian White and coachline and motif in Gold color.
To symbolize the country, each vehicle sports the embroidered logo “Hikmah” meaning Wisdom in Arabic Calligraphy. This is hand-stitched across the headrests and on the illuminated tread plates. A quote that reflects the wisdom of the late President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan is carefully adorned ahead of the front passenger, hand carved across each car marking ‘The Wisdom Collection’ a masterpiece.
All cars feature the attention to detail that Rolls-Royce cars are known for like a custom exterior finish and coach line motifs representing each theme.

The Wisdom Collection is a remarkable representation of the rich history, culture, practices and sites in the seven Emirates. The Bespoke programme at Rolls-Royce has exceptionally embodied central origins and features of the UAE, highlighting the scope of personalisation available to our customers here in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain” added Husselmann.
