Porsche has expanded its Platinum Edition range to include Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel models which are notable for featuring more high-quality equipment. Some of the features which are now available as standard include eight-way leather sports seats with Alcantara centre from the Cayenne GTS, 21-inch Sport Edition wheels in Platinum with a satin finish.
The most distinctive feature of the new additions to the Platinum Edition models is their refined yet understated appearance. They are not only available in the standard exterior colors of black and white, but are also available in four optional metallic paint finishes including Carrara White, Jet Black, Rhodium Silver and Mahogany. When it comes to the exterior package, it includes elegant and sporty touches in high-gloss black and wheel arch extensions in the vehicle color.
Platinum Edition models are geared towards those wanting a sporty look. They have Bi-Xenon main headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus and front and rear Park-Assist, as well as interior and exterior mirrors which dim automatically to prevent glare from the traffic behind. All these features further enhance the driving experience, irrespective of whether you are going on a long trip or just for a short jaunt around the city.
Inside the vehicle, the vehicles are marked by “Platinum Edition” lettering on the front door entry guards. All the outer headrests bear a Porsche crest and the front seats offer the heating option. All the vehicles in the range are fitted with the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system, which include Navigation and the BOSE Surround Sound System. Another notable feature of the vehicles belonging to the Platinum Edition is the sporty analogue clock on the dashboard.
When it comes to the power and consumption metrics, they are the same. The 420 hp 3.6-litre six-cylinder bi-turbo engine in the Cayenne S goes for 100 kilometers while using up fuel ranging from 9.5 to 9.8 liters, depending on the tires. In the Cayenne S Diesel variant, the V8 engine with twin turbocharging generates 385 hp and depending on the tires, uses between 8.2 and 8.0 liters of diesel every 100 km.
The new Cayenne S Platinum Edition models are now available for ordering in the UAE.
