Unlike an activity tracker which we slip on and off, we are likely to wear a ring almost all the time. This is the main difference between the Motiv activity tracking ring and most fitness trackers. It is worn on the finger and not on the wrist. Inside its waterproof case, it has three sensors that will keep track of your main health parameters like your heart rate, the duration of your sleep, the calories burned, active minutes, steps taken and the distance covered.
The ring is also supposed to be waterproof and can easily survive a shower or a swim. It provides access to personalized stats which can be synced to any smart device using Bluetooth to make them shareable. When fully charged, a process that takes less than 90 minutes, the battery lasts for five days. The ring is available in seven sizes and two colors – slate gray titanium and rose gold. Currently, the ring is available only in the US market, but it will be shortly available in international markets.
