2018 Lincoln Navigator
The all-new Lincoln Navigator has won the award of North American Truck of the Year. This is the first time that a vehicle from Lincoln has received the renowned award, which is now in its 24th year. The 2018 Lincoln Navigator fended off tough competition from models like the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and the all-new Ford Expedition to emerge as the winner of the award which was presented at the 2018 North American International Auto Show.
Commenting on the award, Kumar Galhotra, president, The Lincoln Motor Company said that Lincoln was honored to become the winner in such a strong field of competitors. He said that the Lincoln team was every proud of the work that they had put into providing customers with truly differentiated, luxury Lincoln experience in the all-new Navigator.
The winners of the North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year awards are selected based on their performance with regard to many criteria like safety, design, handling, innovation, and value. The winners are chosen by a jury comprising almost 60 journalists drawn from Canada and the United States. All the entries for the award must be either vehicles that are completely new or are vehicles that are significantly different from the previous model.
Modern luxury plus advanced technology The Navigator is Lincoln’s flagship SUV, and effectively combines both luxury and advanced technology for first-class family travel. The model has a striking modern design and the vehicle is notable for its smooth and powerful performance on the road. The interiors are spacious and luxurious with plenty of space for all passengers and 10 power outlets that have been thoughtfully provided so that everyone can stay charged and connected on the go.
When it comes to power, the all-new Navigator is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that has an output of 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque and has the maximum towing capacity in its class – up to 8,700 pounds.
The 2018 Navigator also comes with all-new Lincoln drive mode technology, which is an advanced system that makes it possible for motorists to adjust the vehicle for any weather or terrain just by twisting a knob. The all-new head-up display can be customized to complement the 12.3-inch digital cluster and comprises the very same digital light processing technology that is used in movie theaters.
In the Middle East, the all-new Lincoln Navigator will be available in the first quarter of 2018.
