A new mobile app that was launched today is meant to serve as a connecting link between car lovers and automotive businesses. Aptly named Dazzled Cars, the free app is available for download on both Android and iOS, the app will serve as the MENA region’s first social sharing market place for automotive fans. Dazzled app already has over 200,000 social followers and will create a superactive community where car lovers can share images, videos and notes of their favourite cars and rank the best images uploaded from their country.
Dazzled Cars will use fun, interactive social functionality and original content to engage with its users and will be regularly updated with the latest automotive news, reviews, talk of events and meetups for gearheads. There will also be an option for users to buy and sell cars with an inbuilt messenger to permit free interaction between dealers and sellers.
Given the love for cars and the popularity of automotive trade shows and events in the region, Dazzled Cars is expected to become a major hit. The app has been developed by Dazzled Tech, a mobile application software company based in DTEC, Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre located in Silicon Oasis.
The developers of the app came up with a platform that combined their passion for cars, with a simple, fun interface that all automotive fans would love. The users of the app would be a great target audience for the key players in the automotive industry in the Middle East in view of its unique position as a market platform and a social sharing site that fills a gap in the market.
Founder and CEO Australian born tech entrepreneur Scott Cairns first came up with the idea for the app two years ago when he saw numerous people in a downtown café taking photos of exotic cars. Seeing them made him wonder about the possibility of creating a platform to share images of cars. This led to the development of the concept of Dazzled Cars.
Speaking at the launch, Cairns commented “Dazzled Cars is the social way to save money, and share a global passion for cars. During its developmental phase, we received over 200,000 followers across our social platforms who are excited about the app. We have a great platform with interactive elements that will be well received by the automotive industry and social followers. Reviews from the tech and automotive space have been extremely positive so Dazzled Cars will quickly gain traction. We love cars as much as our target market, and I think this shows in what we have developed.”
The UAE was selected as the first market in the Middle East for the launch of Dazzled Cars based on its robust automotive market, the high demand for cars and high usage of tech and social platforms. Dazzled Cars will also be launched simultaneously in the USA, followed by Asia and Europe by the end of 2016. The aim of the app is to become the go-to’ application for all car related information, marketplace and entertainment.
