dubizzle which is billed as the largest classifieds platform in the UAE, has announced it has acquired two Dubai-based companies, Expat Wheels and Wecashanycar to make life easier for buyers and sellers of used cars. These transactions are the first that dubizzle has made under the Motors section.
dubizzle Motors is one of the biggest websites in terms of traffic, users, and the number of listings in the UAE. As an outcome of the acquisitions, dubizzle will now be able to offer browsers more value and choice as sellers and buyers of used cars will now have access to two new services – ‘Sell it For Me’ and ‘Cash it For Me.’
‘Sell if For Me’ offers safe and convenient end to end management of the sale process for sellers at a fair price while buyers too will have peace of mind as every car goes through a 240-point pre-purchase inspection. Sellers who require instant cash can choose the ‘Cash it For Me’ option to benefit from a live auction platform that is linked to dubizzle’s 600+ professional dealers.
Commenting on the deals, Jean-Pierre Mondalek, General Manager, dubizzle Motorssaid that they mark a milestone for dubizzle Motors as it is now expanding its services to cater to the needs of all types of used car sellers. The entire transaction becomes more convenient and transparent for both private and professional users.
Expat Wheels powers dubizzle’s ‘Sell it For Me’ service
Expat Wheels is a car-trade business that was established in 1994 and transformed the manner in which consumers buy and sell cars by acting as a trustworthy intermediary. When they use Expat Wheels, sellers no longer have to worry about managing the ad listing, negotiating with the buyer, getting a fair price or the transfer of ownership. Buyers of used cars also benefit as cars sold through Expat Wheels undergo a full 240-point check inspection and verification prior to the purchase, adding transparency and protection to the transaction.
Dubizzle implemented a soft launch of the ‘Sell it For Me’ service on dubizzle Motors from December 2016 and the service has proved to be highly successful with over 1,000 UAE residents using the service to sell their cars. Matthew Davidson, Managing Director of Expat Wheels said that the company’s mission is to relieve those who sell cars from the stress and hassle of the process. The company’s staff comprises experts who are highly knowledgeable about cars and the UAE vehicle transfer process.
The service begins with a complete physical inspection of the vehicle’s condition on the basis of which Expat Wheels provides an estimate of its fair market price. Once the company agrees on the bottom price with the vehicle’s seller, the Expat Wheels team professionally photographs, advertises, and features the car on dubizzle Motors as a ‘Verified Car’. It will coordinate with the seller to manage all inquiries, viewings, and negotiations and will handle the transfer of ownership at the RTA. The ‘Sell it For Me’ service is priced at AED 499 and the payment can be made online through dubizzle. Once the sale is completed, a success fee of AED 2,500 will be deducted from the sale price. The total value of the transaction is generally less than the amount that is typically lost during the negotiations between buyers and sellers on dubizzle and provides a higher margin of safety for the buyer while the owners of the cars benefit from a worry free sale.
Wecashanycar powers dubizzle’s ‘Cash it For Me’ service
dubizzle’s ‘Cash it For Me’ service provides an alternative solution for sellers who need cash quickly. Set up three years ago, Wecashanycar has the largest active dealer network, and thus sellers can be sure of getting the highest possible value for their used car without the headache of conducting the sale themselves or dealing with time consuming paperwork.
Faiyaz Chand and Nasrullah Chaudhry, Co-founders of Wecashanycar.com. said that the “‘Cash it For Me’ service is ideal for sellers who are short of time or just want a quick cash exit from their vehicle.
