Saudi Arabia is preparing for a major transition with driving becoming legal for women in the Kingdom from June 24th. Chevrolet is promoting the cause of women drivers with the offer of its 24/7 Roadside Assistance service to all women drivers in the Kingdom for a period of eight weeks irrespective of the brand of the car that they use.
The roadside assistance program is available as a standard feature for all who buy new Chevrolets for a period of 4 years. The Chevrolet roadside assistance program for women will come into effect from the day that the ban on women driving in the Kingdom is lifted, June 24th , as part of the decree issued by His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
Commenting on the initiative, Molly Peck, Chief Marketing Officer at General Motors Middle East said that safety is part of Chevrolet’s very foundation at Chevrolet and the company works continuously to find ways to deliver on the promise of safety to its customers, their cars, and their security on the road. The same is true in KSA. Chevrolet has been operating in the Saudi community for over 90 years and consistently provided dependable means of transport to both men and women. This is why extending the brand’s 24/7 Roadside Assistance program to all women drivers in Saudi was a natural step for Chevrolet.
She added: “With our #UpToMe campaign earlier this year, we greeted His Majesty’s announcement with optimism to recognize Saudi women’s new-found possibility to decide, emphasizing that from this June onwards, it’s up to them. I am extremely proud that with this move, women exercising their choice to drive in the Kingdom can now have complete peace of mind thanks to the response, security and convenience of our 24/7 Roadside Assistance program, regardless of what brand of car they decide to drive.”
Chevrolet’s extended 24/7 Roadside Assistance offer will be available for women drivers in KSA for 8 weeks from June 24th, and will include the provision of recovery services in the event of an accident, changes for flat tire with installation of the spare tire if it is available, courtesy transportation to your destination, lockout Service if you end up with your keys locked inside the vehicle, fuel delivery up to 20 liters in case you run of fuel, recovery from being stuck in sand, battery jump starts and emergency towing.
Chevrolet offers the same 24/7 emergency assistance services and more to customers across the GCC, Jordan and Lebanon as part of its Complete Care aftersales package.
