Careem, has launched a new service named ‘Careem On Call’, which uses geo-linked locations across Dubai. As an outcome of this technology, it is now possible for customers to book a Careem car in just five seconds without setting up an account or downloading the app or setting up an account.
Careem On Call is ideal for those people who have just relocated to Dubai or are not familiar with ride-hailing apps. This new service can also serve as a business community service that can cater to the needs of companies when it comes to transportation. It can be quite a hassle to book taxis or to find parking, especially for reception staff as they will need to explain the location of their office over and over again and deal with the complexities of following up on multiple bookings.
Careem on Call is simple to use as it effectively uses smart technology IVR and geo-link to make the process convenient for the customer. The customer just has to dial in the unique number which is geo-linked to the location, and press one and a Careem car is automatically despatched to the exact location. The customer receives an SMS with the Captain’s registration plate and his mobile number so that the two parties can easily coordinate with each other. As Careem on Call is an app-free service and hence customers will need to pay for the rid ein cash.
Commenting on the new service, Bassel Alnahlaoui, Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations said that Careem On Call is the outcome of organic demand from small, medium and even large-scale businesses who face parking challenges for their guests or employees.
He added, “We set it up to provide a service that can help relieve reception staff from having to book cars and having the tiresome task of explaining their location to a driver, so that their guests can be self-sufficient and book a ride on their own terms. Careem On Call is very much a community service, so no matter how small or large your business might be, we’d love to hear from you if you think you can benefit from having your own unique line.
Laura Davies, Head of Marketing at Inner Fight, comments “Careem On Call has been great for our members! It’s worked out (excuse the pun) perfectly for clients who need an easy and reliable option to get home after a hard work out. We are very happy Crossfitter customers.”
The Careem On Call network is now live and operational across Dubai with over 100 locations already. These include large scale venues like Dubai World Trade Centre, Zero Gravity and Nikki Beach, as well as outlying destinations like the Farm in Al Barai as well as cafes and gyms in Al Quoz (Tom & Serg, Café Rider and Inner Fight and Fitness HQ). Even those visiting car service centers for Audi and Porsche will also be able to use the service.
