Bentley has always been a brand that has been synonymous with luxury. The company’s has just launched its new lifestyle collection in the Middle East. Consisting of seven distinct categories, the collection has a wide range of luxury goods for both men and women with the distinctive Bentley touch. There are items for the globetrotting business executive, for the modern fashionista, household furnishings, colorful accessories and items evocative of Bentley’s long heritage as a luxury brand.
The business collection consists of an array of exquisite leather goods. There are three new additions to the Continental range of leather bags. The men’s briefcase is luxurious but functional with the main front panel, which is inspired by the Bentley wings logo having two zipped pockets for stowing away essentials. The Cross stitched handles have stitching similar to that on the Continental GT steering wheel.
The ladies’ briefcase can easily double as an overnight bag and complements the Barnato and Continental handbags. The interior comes with two sections, one for business use and another for clothing and personal items. A central compartment is ideal for stowing away essentials like phones, wallets, chargers and other essential items. Other items in the luggage collection include soft travel bags that can be also bought as a four piece luggage set customized for the Bentayga’s boot. They can even be specially ordered to match the colors of the interior leathers of the vehicles for inpidual buyers.
The Style collection includes the renowned Bentley Handbag collection. This season, the Continental handbag which is named after the Bentley GT is available in a smaller size in luxurious yet subtle shades that belong to Bentley’s extended color palette like Portland, Dark Sapphire and Burnt Oak.A new range of scarves have been added to the Style collection which feature many design features and landmarks from the world of Bentley and will add a touch of sophistication to any outfit.
The Home collection includes accessories fashioned from the finest materials like hand made desk clocks made by Breitling, an equestrian blanket made of cashmere in hues of Camel and Portland, a Bentley photo frame made of Portland leather with chrome edging and even scented candles bearing the aroma of vintage leather.
The Heritage collection which celebrates Bentley’s history and racing heritage is inspired mainly by the racing expertise and style of the famous Bentley Boys in the 1920s. The colors mainly used are typically British colors like Racing Green and Dark Sapphire while the accents include a modern take on Tim Birkin’s ‘Birkin Spot’ motif.
Notable items in this collection include a race backpack and a a weekender race bag and a race back pack, which are not only stylish but are also functional. They highlight the number nine- a number that is highly significant to Bentley as it celebrates the most important Bentley ever built – the supercharged 4.5 Litre ‘Blower’ that Bentley Boy Tim Birkin drove at Le Mans in 1930. The Blower is seen again in a cashmere scarf depicting Birkin, a stylish accessory for the modern Bentley fan.
The most notable aspects of the Bentley lifestyle collection are the painstaking attention to detail and the wide range of colors. The Bentley palette consists of 120 colors and these have inspired a wide range of leather goods, accessories and handmade clothing including polo shirts and down jackets. The most popular Bentley shades are magenta, Highland Hare, Portland, Moroccan Blue and Neptune.
Bentley has a rich history going back to 1919. While it may not be possible for everyone to own a Bentley, those who aspire to belong to the Bentley club can get to own a bit of Bentley by buying one of the precision crafted scale models that have been produced to celebrate the launch of the Bentayga. The 1:43 scale models have been made in the exact same shades as the real Bentayga. There are 100 units of the Dark Sapphire and Glacier white versions while there are only 250 models of the Bentayga Bronze model. The largest model is the 1:18 scale model of the Extreme Silver Bentayga and its run has been capped at 1000 units.
