Al-Futtaim Motors has launched the UAE’s first digital car showroom. The company, which is the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in the UAE, launched this showroom using the “see inside” feature of Google’s Business View “see inside”. It has taken the feature to a whole new level by making it more interactive and immersive and customers can emerge from the experience feeling as if they have really visited the showroom. All they need is a handheld device, a laptop or a PC.
Customers can use the new feature to virtually visit the Toyota showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road and view all the cars that are displayed both outside and inside the showroom. They will be guided throughout the experience by action cues in the form of arrows.
Commenting on this initiative, Alan Carpenter, General Manager Toyota Sales and Marketing at Al-Futtaim Motors, said that this step is part of the company’s drive to provide new added conveniences to customers as part of its customer-first approach across the business. This approach extends to all aspects, whether it is in the showrooms or on a virtual platform.
He added that todays digital natives begin every purchase process online and the virtual showroom tour will provide Al-Futtaim Motors with the perfect platform to present its retail experience in an easy and accessible format. It will also make the entire purchase process easier and more attractive.
The interactive virtual showroom experience is now live on Google Maps and customers can access the showroom by searching for “Toyota Sheikh Zayed Road Showroom” either on Google or on Google Maps.
Carpenter concluded by saying that this feature will shortly be integrated across all of the company’s online platforms, including its Facebook page, and the newly revamped Toyota.ae website to enhance customer experience.
Later this year, Al-Futtaim Motors will launch one of Toyota’s most impressive technology-chalked 3S facilities, in Abu Dhabi, which will offer an immersive digital journey like no other, creating the UAE’s most interactive car buying experience in addition to myriad customer-centric services on the ground.
