When activated, it inflates like an airbag and offers protection for more than 26 hours without recharging with the power of the long-lasting battery.

The Smart Jacket contains the latest generation Dainese D-air technology and the technology was developed in over 25 years of research on the road and track. It automatically recognizes dangerous situations and activates immediately. The shield within the jacket protects the rider’s back and vital parts with microfilaments that ensures high shock absorption capacity while eliminating the need for hardshell protective gear.

The level of protection offered is equivalent to seven back protectors and it covers a wider surface than a single back protector, without the restrictions. The patented shield has a special structure and microfilaments guarantee uniform, controlled inflation, offering the same level of protection over every inch of the airbag. Using seven sensors, the brain inside the Smart Jacket acts as the control unit in the Dainese D-air system. It automatically senses dangerous situations and immediately activates the Shield to protect the rider.

The jacket is available in variants for men and women, and comes in six different sizes. It offers perfect ventilation for hot weather and can easily be folded and stored in a bag, top box, or backpack
