Apple iPhone XR

Everyone is talking about the latest iPhone, the iPhone XS. This might not however suit every user and his pocket. Those who want the latest iPhone but could do without its OLED screen or dual camera system can instead opt for the Apple iPhone XR which does not cost as much though the price is still quite steep. It is the least expensive of Apple’s three new phones.

The low-end iPhone XR has a bezel-less design, but instead of an OLED panel it has a 6.1 LCD Liquid Retina screen with 1,792 x 828 resolution, with the outcome being images that are quite sharp. The phone has a IP67 rating for water resistance, meaning that it can be submerged in water upto 1 meter for 30 minutes and still work.

When it comes to cameras, instead of a dual camera system, it features a single 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with Face ID, a large sensor, optical image stabilization and new features like Portrait Mode and Smart HDR.

It is powered by Apple’s new A12 Bionic processor and has a chip that can process 5 trillion operations per second, which is pretty impressive as well a “next-generation Neural Engine.” It offers 256 GB of storage.

While the Xs and the Xs Max come in only three colors, the XR comes in as many as six colors including the common black and white and interesting shades of coral, red, yellow and blue
