For desert fans who thought the V8 Wrangler was gone for good, there is good news. Al-Futtaim has launched the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 in the UAE, bringing back the big 6.4-litre HEMI V8 under a new nameplate. There is no official UAE price yet, but here is everything confirmed so far.
Quick Highlights
- 6.4-litre HEMI V8 with 470hp and 637 Nm of torque
- 35-inch all-terrain tyres and full-time four-wheel drive
- Launched by Al-Futtaim, available through Jeep showrooms
- Official UAE price not announced yet

What Is the Moab 392?
The Moab 392 is a special version of the four-door Wrangler built around Jeep’s 6.4-litre HEMI V8, a type of engine that is becoming rare. Al-Futtaim promotes the V8 sound as much as the power, and pitches the model as an off-roader that is also comfortable enough for the school run.
Hardware and Features
- Engine: 6.4L V8, 470hp, 637 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic
- Tyres and wheels: 35-inch all-terrain tyres on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels
- Drivetrain: full-time four-wheel drive
- Cabin: heated Nappa leather seats and a large touchscreen
- Exhaust: a two-mode exhaust on the US version, so confirm this on the UAE-spec car
In US testing, the Moab 392 reached 60 mph in under five seconds, but fuel economy is poor, with an official rating of 13 mpg combined (roughly 18 litres per 100 km). Expect big fuel bills.
How Much Will It Cost?
Al-Futtaim has not published a UAE price. For context, the US starting price is US$79,995 (about AED 293,800) before destination charges and taxes, which is not a UAE price. One new GCC-spec unit has been advertised on a UAE listing site at around AED 399,999 (US$108,918), but that is a dealer advert and not an official figure. Ask Jeep UAE or a showroom for the real number.
Who Is It For?
It suits buyers who want a loud, powerful desert toy and are happy to pay for fuel. If you want something efficient, this is not the car. If you want the last of the big V8 Wranglers, it might be.
Final Thoughts
The Moab 392 keeps an endangered type of engine alive in the UAE. The price will decide how popular it becomes. Would you pay for a V8 Wrangler? Tell us in the comments.
