Porsche has released a new feature drive through Cappadocia, Turkey, putting its most powerful series-production model ever, the Cayenne Electric, through a mix of open roads and rocky off-road trails among the region’s famous rock formations. For a brand with a huge UAE following, it’s a glimpse of exactly the kind of long-distance, varied-terrain driving many owners here already do.
Porsche’s latest newsroom feature follows the Cayenne Electric through Cappadocia, a region famous for its surreal “fairy chimney” rock formations and winding, uneven terrain. The drive was designed to show three things the Cayenne Electric is built to balance: dynamic handling on the road, genuine capability off it, and comfort over long distances, the exact combination Porsche says makes this SUV so versatile.
Porsche describes the Cayenne Electric as the most powerful series-production Porsche of all time, a notable claim for a brand whose history includes some of the most iconic performance cars ever made. The Turbo Electric variant produces up to 1,156 PS, and the Cappadocia drive was clearly chosen to demonstrate that power isn’t just a straight-line number, it holds up across rough, varied terrain too.
This kind of feature travels well regionally. UAE Porsche owners regularly take Cayennes on desert and mountain routes, think Hatta, Jebel Jais, or longer hauls toward Oman, so a story built around rocky trails and long-distance comfort maps closely onto how the car is actually used here. It also reinforces something UAE buyers have been asking since the Cayenne Electric’s Dubai debut: whether an electric SUV can genuinely handle rough terrain, not just city driving. Porsche’s answer, at least from this drive, is a clear yes.
This isn’t an isolated piece. Porsche has been consistently pairing its EV launches with adventure-driving content, a Pan-American Highway crossing in a Cayenne earlier this year, and now Cappadocia for the electric version. For a brand whose UAE fanbase skews toward enthusiasts who actually drive their cars hard, not just collect them, this storytelling angle tends to land well.
