Technology company Continental bagged three awards at the 2021 edition of the Zinnov Awards. The awards were won in the organization wide category – Aatmanirbhar, and in the individual categories – Next Generation Women Leaders and Technical Role Model (subcategory: Established). These coveted awards, instituted by the leading global management and strategy consulting firm Zinnov, recognizes Indian R&D centers and the individual leaders who have created an impact on the technology ecosystem and at the global scale every year.

This year’s Zinnov Awards focused on the champions of change, the visionaries, and pioneers in the Indian technology ecosystem who proved their mettle both during COVID and beyond.
Continental is innovating “In India, For India and the world” Continental received the Aatmanirbhar awards for creating a large-scale impact by conceptualizing, designing, developing, and manufacturing products from India. With the “in the market, for the market” approach, Continental has built competence over the years and has focused on localizing its entire value chain, starting from local business development to engineering and from local purchasing to manufacturing. The company also has a dedicated local R&D to support business units in the local projects to test and validate the products.

Next Generation Women Leaders award recognizes women leaders in Indian global centers who have created large-scale impact through their business, leadership, and/or technology expertise. Sirisha Arza, who won the award, brings traits that balance mechanics and technology with innovation in her role as head of Industrial Engineering at Continental.
The Technical Role Model award recognizes individuals who are technology stalwarts and have served by example, inspiring individuals both within the organization and beyond to follow a technical career path, This award was won by Gowtham Chakkarapani, Global Solutions Architect at Continental.
