PPG has expanded its presence in Argentina by opening a new training center for automotive refinish professionals covering 300 square meters. Located in Pillar, Argentina, the center is a state-of-the art facility that can be used to train over 300 refinish technicians and the company said that at least 100 professionals can receive training by the end of 2017.
Experts from PPG will use the center to provide technicians from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay with training on all of PPG’s automotive refinish product lines and color modules, as well as the most advanced application techniques. The new center will expand PPG’s training resources in South America. The company already has an automotive refinish training center in Sumaré, Brazil.
Commenting on the new center, Fabrício Vieira, PPG commercial and marketing director, automotive refinish, southern Latin America region said that it highlights PPG’s commitment to developing the workforce and automotive refinish industry in South America. Thus, the PPG experts and refinish technicians in the region will have access to the most advanced tools and training, ensuring higher levels of customer satisfaction. He said that the company was proud to open such a world-class facility for the region’s automotive refinish industry.
The new center will help PPG to further enforce its stringent quality standards in the region while confirming to the three guiding principles of its global automotive refinish business globally: innovative technology pipeline, increased technical know-how and excellent brand experience.
Andres Nitti, PPG business development supervisor, automotive refinish, Argentina said, “The inauguration of the training center in Argentina symbolizes PPG’s belief in the potential of Latin America as a whole. With this strategic investment, we are continuing our objective of raising the level of the region’s refinish market even further.”
