Petromin Corp., the premier automotive services company in the MENA region, has recently been awarded an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation by American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). The accreditation was presented to its Jeddah plant laboratory.
According to the company, the accreditation reflects the advanced capability of its quality management and production systems, and its ability for products to perform to the highest global standards as defined by ISO/IEC 17025:2015 Standard’s strict criteria of requirements for the competency of testing laboratories. The accreditation body honored Petromin following extensive testing of its lubricants and greases to assess their performance and resilience in different extreme conditions.
Samir Nawar, President and CEO of Petromin Corporation, said that the team at Petromin’s laboratory in Jeddah has several years of experience within the lubricants industry and the accreditation from A2LA is a proof of their leading expertise. He noted that the recognition serves as further testament to the company’s ability to perform as a world-class lubricants organization and their pioneering spirit which delivers the highest quality of lubricants to their customers.
He continued that Petromin’s Jeddah laboratory is the first and only lubricants manufacturer with this well-regarded accreditation in Saudi Arabia, adding to the company’s cutting-edge track record of success. “Petromin is at the forefront of developing quality products to meet the requirement of all leading international equipment manufacturers and has established customer trust for offering motor oils which are proven to prolong engine life.”
Petromin also has an ISO 9001:2008 Certification for Quality Management System which is implemented at its facilities in Riyadh and Jeddah, further underscoring the company’s commitment to producing petroleum-based products of the highest international standard.
