Yokohama has further extended its partnership with the Nitro circus organization. The tire manufacturer will now be official tire partner of the Nitro World Games, which is scheduled to take place in the United States on 24 June at Rice-Eccles stadium in Salt Lake city.
Yokohama is already the official tire of the Nitro Circus Live Tour in the United States. The company will be the presenting sponsor of the Skate Best Tricks contest at the event. During the event, the best athletes in the world will compete fiercely for the title of world champions in action sports disciplines like Scooter, Skate, FMX, and BMX, pushing the limits of action sports. The three-hour event is expected to transform the action sports scenario.
Fardad Niknam, director of Yokohama’s LTR segment development said that Yokohama is super excited to be part of the action in the 2018 edition of the Nitro World Games. He added that the company is already planning some fun surprises for the Nitro fans. Yokohama will also use the event as the platform to showcase its super-tough range of Geolandar light truck tires.
The Nitro World Games are produced by Nitro Circus. The first edition of the Nitro World Games was held last year and had made global headlines for the action-packed events. The Games were conceptualized by Nitro Circus executive chairman and global head of creative Mike Porra, along with professional motorsports competitor and stunt performer Travis Pastrana.
