Mitas will be launching its range of radial agricultural tires under the Cultor brand in 2016. These tires will serve as a replacement for the Mitas RD brand which will no longer be a part of the Mitas brand portfolio. Under the Cultor RD brand, Mitas will be marketing 46 new sizes of radial agricultural tires which will be made at is plants in Europeand will reach the retail market in 2016. The tires belonging to the Cultor RD range will match the durability and performance of the tires belonging to the Mitas RD brand and will offer users all the benefits of the highly innovative tire research and development conducted by Mitas. In the branding hierarchy, Cultor will be placed below Mitas Premium line.
Revealing more about the Dcultor RD range, Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ marketing and sales director said that the company will be using the brand to offer competitively priced top-quality radial agricultural tires just like Mitas RD. Cultor RD tires will thus supplement the Mitas Premium which is meant to include tires that cater to the more demanding and prestigious segment of powerful machines. He added that the tires would be made at the company’s state of the art plants in Europe, including the Otrokovice (CZE) facility which was opened only in 2013.
Under the Cultor range, the company will be selling tires marked RD-01, RD-02 and RD-03. The Cultor RD-01 tires are meant for a wide range of applications and are all-round performers with a balanced combination of features. This makes them suitable for a wide range of equipment and terrains. In this range, there will be 22 sizes from January 2016. The Cultor RD-02 tires offer high ride comfort on the road and excellent transmission of power due to their greater grip and traction on the field. These tires will be available in eight sizes. Cultor RD-03 tires are meant specifically for higher load capacity and gentle ground handling, primarily due to their wide design and large volume of air. Customers can choose from 16 sizes. Mitas has plans in the pipeline to further expand the the Cultor radial agricultural tire range to include products for combine harvesters and row crop machinery.
Cultor RD tires will be available worldwide as of January 2016, except for the U.S. market.
