Maxxis International has enhanced its portfolio of passenger tires with the addition of the Premitra HP5 tire. The new tire which is meant for use in both wet and dry conditions and has been recognized for its outstanding performance will add to the persity of the tires the company is currently offering to customers.
The Premitra HP5 minimizes heat generation with the use of a full-silica rubber compound that also adds to the durability of the tire. The lateral groove design and multiple variable pitch tread keep vibration noise and rolling resistance at minimal levels while improving wet handling. The incorporation of high strength steel belts lends the tire greater stability and better handling, even at high speeds.
The debut of the HP5 tire marks the outcome of continuous evolution in the company’s manufacturing processes in order to meet the high expectations from buyers of passenger car tires. With the addition of this tire to the portfolio, Maxxis will be well able to maintain its reputation as a company with one of the widest ranges on the market.
In 2015, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 tire won the Tire of the Year award from Motor Trend magazine in Shanghai, beating stiff competition from tires belonging to brands like Goodyear, Bridgestone and Pirelli.
The tire was first launched in China in May 2015 due to the size and importance of the Chinese market and is now making its debut in the UK market. With the high performance vehicle market in the country growing at a steady pace, the tire which was a top performer in independent tests in Europe is expected to perform well in the European market.
