Kenda Tires will be showcasing its range of all-season tires at the first edition of The Tire Cologne as part of its drive to replicate the success it had in North America in the European markets. In 2017, Kenda had launched its first passenger car tire that was designed specifically for the European region, the Kenda Emera A1. The tire manufacturer then went on to launch the Wintergen 2 winter tire and the Komendo Winter KR500 van tire. At the Tire Cologne, Kenda will be bringing the latest tire that it has designed specifically for the European market, the Kenda Kenetica 4S all-season tire.
This is the company’s first all-season tire for the European market. The Kenetica 4S will be launched at the retail level in the second half of 2018 and will be initially available in 28 dimensions. In 2019, Kenda plans to extend the range and to also launch an all-season SUV tire.
Other new tires that Kenda will be highlighting at The Tire Cologne include new sizes in the existing Emera A1 and Wintergen 2 product lines. Kenda has plans to introduce more sizes in the Kenda Emera A1 (KR41) range in the 16- to 19-inch size bracket and these should be available to retail customers by the second half of 2019, taking the total range up to 50 dimensions. For the Wintergen 2 (KR501), 23 new sizes, including eight for 18- and 19-inch rims, will be introduced for winter 2018/19, bringing the total number of sizes to 59.
