Kenda’s US subsidiary, Kenda Tire U.S.A. Inc. has signed a new multi-year deal with the basketball team, the Brooklyn Nets in a bid to enhance their brand awareness. Basketball is highly popular in the United States and the Brooklyn Nets is a professional team that is one of the two NBA teams based in New York city, with the other being the renowned New York Knicks.
Kenda will be the official partner of the Brooklyn Nets right through to the end of the 2017-18 National Basketball Association (NBA) season.
Kenda is planning to provide the brand with greater brand exposure and retail activations for the Kenda Traction Dealer Network by working closely with its local distributor in the United States, Max Finkelstein Inc.
As an outcome of its deal with the Brooklyn Nets, Kenda will benefit from its status as a corporate sponsor which will cover use of Nets marketing right, TV-visible branded signage and hospitality. As part of its support for the Nets, Kenda will also sponsor a Jeremy Lin bobble head night.
Speaking about the deal, Kenda President Jimmy Yang said in a news release said that he was excited to announce the company’s sponsorship deal with the Brooklyn Nets. He added that the NBA and the Nets organization as well as Jeremy Lin have a very strong brand image and presence in the Metro New York area and Asian market. This will help Kenda to reach out to both the Asian followers of the game as well as American basketball lovers. Earlier, when it came to basketball, Kenda has sponsored the Cleveland Cavaliers.
