Goodyear has developed a new retread called Goodyear Endurance WHD for waste haul fleets. The retread has been engineered for optimal traction and durability. The new retread is part of the renowned tire manufacturer’s Total Solution of trusted products, reliable services and fleet management tools.
Commenting on Goodyear Endurance WHD, Dustin Lancy, marketing manager said that retreads are highly in demand for waste haul vehicles like garbage trucks as they are operated in severe conditions. The Endurance WHD range already includes Goodyear Endurance WHA retread, which is used as the retread product for the new Goodyear Endurance WHA tire.
The Goodyear Endurance WHD, has been designed for the drive position and has in its composition a dual-layer tread compound for slow tread wear and low rolling resistance. It has a deep, 32/32-inch tread depth to offer more miles to removal. Another bonus is the presence of self-cleaning grooves to help evacuate mud and snow.
Lancy said that in the case of waste haul fleets, tires represent a significant investment. The new Goodyear Endurance WHD retread for waste haul fleets has been designed for excellent fuel efficiency, better traction and high miles to removal. This will help waste haul fleets to optimize their tire assets.
The Goodyear Endurance WHD retread is available in 8.5 inches (215 mm), nine inches (230 mm), 9-7/8 inches (250 mm) and 10-5/8 inches (270 mm) across North America.
Goodyear’s Total Solution for waste haul fleets also includes the 24/7 Goodyear-Fleet HQ Emergency Roadside Service. As part of this service, waste haul trucks which have broken down due to road hazards are fixed and the vehicles are soon up and running.
“In addition to emergency road service and traditional waste haul tires and retread products, Goodyear also offers a number of off-the-road tires designed for equipment used at landfills, waste transfer stations, recycling centers and other facilities,” said Lancy.
