Goodyear has launched what it claims is an industry first app geared towards professionals in the tire industry. Named “Go Goodyear”, the tire manufacturer says that the app is meant to educate those who are involved in the tire business by buying, selling or fitting Goodyear tires. The content rich app is free to download to both tablets and smartphones. It offers users fast access to company information, product information, fitment guides, information on tire ranges for different seasons, and has plenty of videos that would be of interest to retail and wholesale dealers. Goodyear plans to ramp up the engagement level through contests, articles on future mobility and quirky trivia.
Speaking about the app, Goodyear marketing manager Adam Butcher said that through the app, the company wanted to make it as easy as possible for members of its dealer network to get all the information they needed. She added that the app would be useful not only for the company’s dealer network but also for motorists who want to learn more about the intriguing world of tires. It would ensure that the world of Goodyear is easily available at the fingertips of all of its fitters, dealers and motorists to help develop a well-informed community who will be privy to the best and most up-to-date information there is.
The app can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play by searching Go Goodyear.
