Giti Tire received two out of nine industry-wide awards given at the inaugural MGTS Asia Supplier Awards which were held on November 21, 2017. The company received the awards for ‘Best Spare Parts & Tires Supplier’ and ‘Most Socially Responsible Supplier’. The awards highlighted the significant progress Giti Tire has made in the past year with regard to quality, service, and contribution to society. Giti fared considerably better than many leading global players belonging to the tyre and automotive supply industry.
MGTS (Mobivia Groupe) is based in Geneva, Switzerland, is one of the leading companies in Europe when it comes to sourcing, development and supply of tyres and car accessories. It is owned by one of Europe’s largest retail conglomerates – the Mulliez Family Association (AFM) – and has a network of over 1,200 auto shops and two dedicated online platforms. MGTS focuses on sourcing its products and services from the best suppliers and ensures that products are developed with the best practices. The company’s influence is not confined to Europe. It also has a strong reach in Asia and other parts of the world. MGTS has been associated with Giti Tire for more than a decade.
Commenting on the awards, Betty Qian, Deputy General Manager of International Sales and Marketing for Giti Tire said that Giti Tire looked forward to continuing with the partnership and achieving even greater hights in the future.
These two awards are the latest in a series of accolades that the tyre brand has earned recently. The company has received similar awards from leading OEM partners like General Motors. In early 2016, Giti Tire received the Hardlines Supplier of the Year and Automotive Supplier of the Year awards from Walmart USA, the largest retail company in the world. Giti Tire has recently been engaged in an expansion drive with major recent investments and focus on its products, services, and facilities.
