Singapore based tire designer, manufacturer and distributor, Omni United has announced that it has appointed Brett Martin as the President of its US subsidiary Omni United USA Inc. He will be responsible for Omni United’s distribution business in the USA. Omni United manufactures and markets several brands of tires for the truck, bus, passenger car, SUV and agricultural tire segment including Birla, Goodride, Radar, RoadLux, Speedways and Timberland Tires.
Brett Martin is attire industry veteran with experience of over 36 years under his belt, 23 years spent handling different key roles dealing with distribution sector. His last stint was as Senior Vice President of Distribution, TCI, a subsidiary of Michelin North America, as part of which he oversaw 85 distribution centers in the United States. He spent many years working for TCI, holding key positions such as Regional Director West coast and Distribution Center Manager. Brett also has significant experience in the tire retail sector.
Martin’s appointment is part of Omni United’s expansion pe in the United States. As part of increasing its presence in distribution, Omni United had recently acquired the US based, Interstate Tire Distributor (ITD), which has a portfolio of 7 warehouses and has access to a network spanning more than 3,500 retailers. Omni United has also recently set up a mixing warehouse in Riverside, California with a capacity of 80,000 sq.ft, which will serve the needs of the ITD distribution Centers.
GS Sareen, Founder and CEO, Omni United said that the company is focusing on expanding its distribution footprint in areas where they do not have wholesale customers and getting access to as many tire retail stores as possible. Currently, distribution models are changing rapidly in the United States and it is important for retail customers to get what they need when they need it. Omni United is striving very hard to achieve this objective through a growing network of partner distributors and through its own distribution centers.
He added with Brett’s expertise in managing the distribution of Michelin and several other tire brands, his appointment is expected to assist Omni United to grow and manage it multi brand distribution business in the US, as Brett has a tremendous amount of experience in managing such businesses.
