Apollo has launched a brand-new summer tire called the Apollo Aspire XP. The tire uses the most advanced material technologies and construction to provide motorists with a high level of safety and outstanding levels of on-road comfort.
The Aspire XP has a total line-up of 52 SKUs, and will serve as the successor to Apollo’s range of Aspire 4G and Apterra HP tires. Apollo is also focusing on increasing its market coverage in the 17”, 18” and 19” segment by adding 20 new sizes in both the car and SUV segments.
The new Aspire XP summer tire will provide consumers with an outstanding driving experience on both wet and dry roads when it is used in both cars and SUVs. During the research and development phase of the tire, the top priorities were safety and comfort. The Aspire XP enhances handling on wet roads by 22 per cent when compared to its predecessors thanks to an improved silica tread compound, and the braking distance in wet road conditions has increased by 7%.
In the case of performance on dry roads, the scenario is similar. The Aspire XP has stiffer outer shoulder blocks and a central lane which reduce the braking distance by 4 per cent and deliver a higher degree of steering response accuracy. The use of more flexible sidewall materials for better shock absorption and sipes on the inside shoulder of the tire for lower levels of cabin noise contribute significantly to better ride comfort.
The Aspire XP became available in the market from the beginning of March. The tire is made in Europe at the Apollo Vredestein factories in the Netherlands and Hungary.
