Al Saeedi Group organized a Customer Meet for their customers dealing with Triangle tires. The gala event was held at the Le Meridian Hotel in Dubai on March 21, 2017. The program was held under the chairmanship of David Sun, Sales President – Triangle Tyres, Middle East & Africa. Other eminent dignitaries who attended the event included Sadie Han, Manager, Triangle Tyres Middle East & Africa; Kuttan Malattiri, Managing Director, Al Saeedi Group and Anish Malattiri, Director, Al Saeedi Group.
Speaking at the event, Anish Malattiri, Director, Al Saeedi Group said that Al Saeedi Group was initially concentrating more on the off road tires before Triangle Tyres with its diverse range of tires for trucks, buses and passenger cars encouraged them to diversify. Sale of truck radials proved to be quite challenging in the UAE market as customers generally opted for tires from budget Chinese brands and marketing premium Chinese tires needed special effort. The Al Saeedi Group sales team collaborated closely with the Triangle team to create demand for premium truck tires and bag a number of fleet accounts. As an outcome of these efforts, Al Saeedi now has significant market share when it comes to the dealer, institution and retail sales channels and is able to offer the complete range to customers
Triangle recently became a public company valued at USD 7 billion with its shares being listed on the Shanghai stock exchange. It is one the top tire brands in China and one of the top 15 tire brands on a global basis. Triangle Tyres has a wide range of premium tires for the transportation, FMCG, taxi and Crushers segments. To complement the brand’s wide range of sizes and unique patterns, the company focuses on strong research and development efforts at technical centres based in America, Europe and China. Thus, the company is able to offer tires customized for consumer needs in each market.
Al Saeedi, which is UAE’s largest distributor for industrial tires was established in the year 1988 as a small trading enterprise in Dubai. The company has over the years, evolved into a tire dealer for key brands like Triangle and Nexen. The company has a marketing presence in countries across the GCC, India and Africa an dhas eight service centers spread across key locations in the UAE. Al Saeedi recently introduced launched its “Saeedi Pro” retail brand for the centers offering various service solutions like Oil change, A/c topup, Brakes and Wipers in addition to tire related services.
