2020 GMC Acadia AT4
With a fresh, bold exterior design, improved interior styling and advanced technologies, here are five reasons why the newly redesigned 2020 Acadia midsize SUV stands out from its competitors and is perfect for always on-the-go individuals.
Built upon Acadia’s already taut, athletic form, the 2020 model is infused with the bold, powerful attitude and precision-crafted detailing that is truly GMC. Acadia’s strong, expressive hood flows into a wide, tall, bold grille, which neatly interlocks with both the front bumper fascia and headlamps in a geometric fashion.
Acadia’s striking headlamp design boasts LED lighting technology on all trim levels, and also incorporate GMC’s distinctive C-shaped signature lighting elements, which provide a recognizable design cue even at night.
Beauty is only skin deep – that’s why GMC set out to further enhance Acadia’s already contemporary interior design. The use of premium, soft-touch materials now runs throughout the cabin, including along the sides of the center console.
Additionally, by incorporating the new Electronic Precision Shift controls for the nine-speed transmission, Acadia’s center console has been optimized for convenient storage – for example a new storage area has been created underneath the upper surface, perfectly sized for a tablet or small bag.
The active, athletic spirit of GMC is reflected in the new AT4 model line. The Acadia AT4 incorporates a number of distinctive exterior cues that set it apart, including an exclusive grille design with a black chrome finish, gloss black roof rails, black wing mirror caps, and a black chrome tail lamp accent panel. It also has 17-inch wheels finished in black chrome – an AT4 exclusive – and all-terrain tires are standard, while 20-inch wheels/tires are available.
Acadia AT4’s distinctive appearance also extends within the cabin, with dark chrome interior accents, and unique seating – including available Jet Black/Kalahari leather-appointed seating surfaces.
A modern vehicle should be as forward-thinking and connected as its tech-savvy customer – which is why the 2020 Acadia is packed with several innovative technologies designed to help customers stay up-to-date, even while on the go. The nameplate delivers the latest GMC infotainment system1 that is more intelligent and intuitive. It offers users improved voice recognition, a higher resolution 8-inch-diagonal touchscreen and a simplified interface that requires fewer steps for some tasks, along with simpler screen layouts inspired by the latest smartphone technology.
Acadia is available in either front- or all-wheel drive configurations, and incorporate a Traction Select system, which allows the driver to adjust chassis and powertrain attributes to suit a variety of driving conditions. The Acadia AT4 features an advanced Twin-Clutch all-wheel drive system, which further enhances traction on loose surfaces or broken terrain. For 2020, Acadia’s rear suspension tuning has been revised to provide improved ride quality over rough roads. Acadia Denali also continues to offer Continuous Dampening Control, which adjusts suspension damper tuning in real time to optimize ride and handling for the road at hand.
Equipped with a powerful and efficient 310 HP 3.6L V-6, Acadia’s engine features direct injection, variable valve timing as well as Active Fuel Management (Cylinder Deactivation) and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Working in tandem, these advanced powertrain features contribute to impressive and improved fuel consumption.
If you’re looking for a stylish, capable, and impeccably refined midsize SUV, consider the new 2020 GMC Acadia.
