Pegasus Automotive Group, the exclusive dealer for Aston Martin in the UAE, has revealed the debut of the new Aston Martin DBX, the first ever SUV model of the British independent manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers, at its showroom located in Downtown Dubai. The DBX, which has been dubbed as an important model for Aston Martin, is currently being offered at prices starting from AED 917,000 including VAT.
According to Pegasus Automotive Group’s senior officials, Aston Martin has placed key attention on their first ever SUV model–expressing optimism that the new DBX will play a key role in the move to increase the company’s presence across the SUV market. Taking on a design that is based on brand new architecture and comes equipped with the latest in automotive technologies, the DBX has been manufactured to safely carry passengers in true Aston Martin style.
The body structure of the new SUV was built utilizing a bonded aluminum construction method, which is both light and stiff and helps keep the overall kerb weight to 2,245 kilograms. Its power comes from the same 4.0-liter, twin turbocharged V8 engine, churning out 550 horsepower and 700Nm of torque, which can help propel the SUV from 0 to 100 Kph in just over 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 181 Mph (291 Kph). The new model also comes with an adaptive triple volume air suspension and is integrated with the latest 48v electric anti-roll control system and electronic adaptive dampers. The suspension allows ride height to be increased by 45 mm or lowered by 50 mm, which further adds to the DBX’s capability to take on a wide range of terrain.
Dr. Saeed Dana, Managing Director, Pegasus Automotive Group, said, “We are proud to announce the availability of the new Aston Martin DBX, which we will be debuting at our Downtown Dubai Showroom. This is Aston Martin’s first SUV model and is expected to address the increasing demand for SUVs in the region. The debut of the DBX in DXB demonstrates Pegasus Automotive Group’s continuous commitment to bring leading luxury brands like Aston Martin closer to their customers, while also promising a memorable and holistic customer experience. We invite everyone to come visit our showroom to learn more about this new SUV–our sales experts will be on hand to answer all your queries.”
The Pegasus Automotive Group is widely recognized as the international dealer group representing iconic brands such as Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Koenigsegg, Sports Classic Heritage and Bizzarrini. According to a recent study from Report Bayer, the volume of luxury car sales in the Middle East region is expected to grow at an annual rate ranging from between four to five per cent over the next few years. The forecast proves to be both timely and strategic as the UAE has been pegged as home to the largest number of luxury cars per capita in the region.
