In an effort to take motoring experience to the next level, Wagner®, a worldwide leader in braking innovation, is intensely expanding its offering of top quality replacement brake rotors with E-Shield™ protective coating technology, which prevents unpleasant corrosion and related complaints typically associated with uncoated parts. These premium brake rotors are produced and marketed for automakers and the aftermarket by Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a pision of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation.
Just recently, the company added over 450 part numbers to the Wagner E-Shield premium rotor line, which must place coverage at around 95 percent of target market coverage.
Each of the Wagner premium rotors is packaged in a special Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) bad to help avoid environmental contamination and eliminate the need for extra surface preparation before installation. Additionally, when required, these rotors feature precision mill balance technology to inhibit common performance issues that result from improper balance. Thanks to the micro finish of the rotors which help in proper seating of the friction material, it dramatically reduces break-in time.
According to Rick Dziobak, product manager, brake products, North America, Federal-Mogul Motorparts, corrosion issues and related consumer complaints, along with the performance issues related to lower quality parts, have caused several service providers to re-assess their choice of rotor supplier. He claimed that Wagner premium E-Shield rotors solve the problem of unsightly rust on the visible non-braking surfaces and help the service provider save time on the repair.
To guarantee customer satisfaction, Wagner premium rotors also offer proprietary, application-specific vane configurations that offer outstanding cooling for excellent stopping performance and reduced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH).
