Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced that the company is now making new incar entertainment systems available for those who love music and would love to have a top grade in car multimedia unit in their Volkswagen vans. The new unit has been made in collaboration with the renowned car audio manufacturer Kenwood and offers features like Android Auto and Apple Car Play so that they can stream music from all their phones to play in the vehicle.
Volkswagen had lately approved Kenwood’s DNX525DAB unit which proved to be a hit with owners of Volkswagen vehicles. The new unit which is an upgraded version of the DNX525DAB unit is now available at the retail level from all Authorized Repairers and Van Centers as an approved dealer fit accessory and will offer motorist access to a component that will provide them with the latest technology when it comes to navigation and in-car entertainment technology.
The new Kenwood unit comes with features like Bluetooth handsfree, Android Auto, Spotify integration, Apple CarPlay, streaming connectivity and DAB digital radio tuner. When it comes to navigation, it offers full Europe Garmin navigation, free map updates for three years, TMC traffic updates and photo-real junction views to help inform drivers of the road ahead. As many as three million points of interest are shown via icons on the map. It can also be used to integrate with the steering controls, parking sensors and the reversing camera.
The new unit features a 7-inch high-res touchscreen, DVD, CD, USB, SD card for digital music playback and iPod connectivity. The navigation system also offers over three million points of interest which are displayed via icons on the map.
