Visteon, a leading automotive supplier, is thrilled to give a demo of its vehicle cockpit electronics products and technology for connected driving at the upcoming CES in the Central Plaza (CP20).
Vehicles and interactive displays will exhibit the company’s know-how in head-up displays, instrument clusters, infotainment, information displays, connectivity, connected audio and telematics.
Advanced concepts will be highlighted through an interactive vehicle cockpit simulator and two vehicles at the exhibit. In the cockpit simulator, all-new Visteon human-machine interaction input technologies deliver an exceptional user experience through predictive options based on historical and contextual user data. One of the vehicles will have 3D gesture technology for infotainment systems and driver information that can minimize driver distraction and improve the user experience. Meanwhile, the other will feature a windshield head-up display with an extra-large, high-resolution screen that delivers contextual information to the driver without being prompted for it.
The following are the highlights of Visteon’s product lines:
Connectivity and Telematics – Visteon will feature global solutions designed to deliver safe and smooth connectivity in and around the vehicle, thus keeping it up to date with the next generation of technology and services.
Connected Audio – The company’s OpenAir audio products merge smartphone and wearable content with an intuitive interface for an outstanding listening experience.
Information Displays – Automotive-ready concepts on display will integrate the consumer appeal of craftsmanship, sleek design and touch capability while using the newest in display technology, including curved lenses that are optically bonded with flexible displays and formable touch sensors.
Infotainment – Based on Open Standards technology, Visteon infotainment systems offer embedded content, improved cyber security, and a driver-centric user interface.
Head-up Displays (HUD) – Visteon will also showcase a number of HUD applications, including four levels of combiner HUD products that bring HU technology to mass-market vehicles.
Instrument clusters- Bigger, higher-resolution displays that migrate toward 3D graphics are the new standard. At CES, Visteon will display advanced clusters that offer driver information for all vehicle segments, including high-end and fully reconfigurable clusters.
Apart from the newest technology in its key product lines, Visteon will unveil SmartCore, a security-focused approach to cockpit module consolidation that tackles the increasing intricacy of cockpit electronics to enhance the driving experience. This technology will incorporate the newest instrument clusters, head-up displays (HUD), infotainment and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) domains.
