TT Electronics which specializes in the production of engineered electronics for performance critical applications has launched the HA 19 series of common mode chokes. These mode chokes are meant to be used in electronic power steering (EPS) noise suppression applications. Every EPS system needs proper EMI (electromagnetic interference) control and this is achieved with use of a common mode choke (CMC) and/or a differential mode choke (DMC). With EVs and PHEVs becoming more popular and a higher number of electronic components in vehicles, noise suppression has become more important. The HA19 series comprises three parts with standard inductance values, which range from 11 µH to 75 µH, and it has been proven that they are suitable for reducing line-conducted inference in the circuitry. The devices offer high reliability and superior current handling from 26.5 A to 44 A (and even higher over-current withstanding) and have a robust construction. They can operate in a wide range of temperatures ranging from -40 to 125 °C and they are suitably for high-stress automotive environments as they have AEC-Q200 certification. These mode chokes are lead-free and compliant with EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2) norms.
TT Electronics says that the HA19 series can serve as a solution when it comes to elimination of noises from high radiated frequencies and low conducted frequencies in system circuitry, thus allowing EPS system designers to enhance EMI robustness, and making vehicles safer. The HA19 series is also suited for ECU and transmission control applications.
