One of the most serious problems that motorists encounter is knowing what lies on the road ahead but not seeing beyond the next corner. Aiming to step up driving safety, TomTom is launching a groundbreaking solution to the issue—Jam Ahead Warnings which are now offered on the free TomTom Speed Cameras app for Android™.
The all-new TomTom Jam Ahead Warnings audibly and visually alert motorists to quickly slowing, static, traffic on the highway ahead, giving them the chance to brake smoothly on time.
According to Corinne Vigreux, co-founder and managing director, TomTom, they are continuously struggling to make the driving experience safer and more relaxed. She noted that TomTom Jam Ahead is a powerful example of this approach.
The TomTom Speed Cameras app is already offered in 16 countries and has recently launched in a further 26. Motorists worldwide rely on the app to deliver highly precise Mobile and Fixed camera alerts in real time, as well as Average Speed Cameras.
Motorists are anticipated to welcome the average speed check feature, as Average Speed Cameras are becoming even more popular with road authorities worldwide.
The locations of fixed cameras are offered by TomTom’s highly precise database, and verified by a TomTom moderation team, while mobile speed cameras are reported and verified by a community of more than 5 million motorists.
TomTom’s new Speed Camera app for Android is offered as a free download on the Google Play™ store.
