PurePower Technologies, which is one of the leading players in the field of fuel injectors and turbochargers has expanded its range of turbochargers to cover those designed for light, medium and heavy duty truck engines. This new range will also comprise remanufactured turbochargers. The company uses a modular approach to make OEM-quality turbochargers that are compatible with all makes, sizes and models and these include variable geometry and wastegate turbochargers.
Commenting on the new range, Jerry Sweetland, president and CEO, PurePower Technologies said that over the past seven years, the company has served as an in-house supplier to the renowned firm, Navistar and had invested over USD 10 million in its turbocharger production capabilities.
Now, PurePower Technologies is operating as an independent company, and will continue to invest in the latest turbo technologies to ensure that its products are of the highest quality for both OEM and remanufactured applications.
PurePower offers testing, assembly and remanufacturing of turbochargers. PPT’s hot gas test and heavy-duty engine dynamometer cells are used to provide real-world validation of the turbocharger to the original design intent. It also has a 100 percent end-of-line cold functional test process, so that every single turbocharger can be correlated back to the compressor map. NVH analysis is conducted to identify any hidden defects, which can affect the reliability of the turbocharger over the long term. PPT’s engineering quality has attained the TS 16949 certification and is thus of the highest OEM-level quality.
