MEYLE has expanded its current range of MEYLE-HD water pumps that are compatible with Porsche and VW models. The expansion has doubled the range of products in this line to 18 items. The introduction of the new water pumps will now make it possible for independent workshops to use these pumps for a wider range of vehicle applications and utilize to the maximum possible extent the benefits of SiC/SiC mechanical seals fitted on all MEYLE-HD water pumps.
Having a defective water pump can result in serious engine damage and make motorists extremely angry and distressed when they come in to the repair shop. This is however a problem that can be easily remedied and forestalled with the use of MEYLE-HD water pumps. All the MEYLE_HD water pumps come with a highly durable and long lasting mechanical seal with SiC/SiC sliding face material pairing.
The seal, which is used on MEYLE water pumps, has a high level of resistance to abrasive substances and this makes it the technology of choice for leading vehicle manufacturers. The durability of the MEYLE-HD water pump design is further enhanced by an extremely heat-resistant housing seal and the original-equipment quality of the water pump.
MEYLE also offers two tips to workshop technicians. The first is to use only the sealing material that is included in the MEYLE kit or is specified by the manufacturer when installing the new water pump. They should apply the silicon sealant sparingly in order to prevent mechanical seal damage and/or coolant contamination. The second tip is to flush the entire cooling system thoroughly when replacing the water pump, prior to refilling the system with new coolant. It is important to follow the manufacturer’s specifications at all times in order to ensure maximum protection and performance from the vehicle engine.
