nonda Debuts Smart Tire Safety Device

nonda, a Silicon Valley company has debuted the ZUS Smart Tire Safety Monitor (ZUS STSM) to help motorists monitor the tires of their vehicles in real-time and thus minimize the chance of dangerous blowouts. The product is now available for preorder as part of an Indiegogo campaign. The smart tire safety device is the latest product in the ZUS range of connected car products.

Tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) are required by law for all vehicles that are sold or manufactured in the United States after 2007. One difference between the ZUS Smart Tire Safety Monitor and conventional TPMS devices is that most standard tire sensor technology cannot provide actual tire pressure readings or indicate which tires have a problem. Installation of direct TPMS devices at a dealership is highly expensive.
