There was a time when wood trim in the interiors were considered to be the last word in luxury. Like everything else, that perception has now undergone a sea change. With weight and fuel efficiency as well as performance being the main criteria when choosing a car, the use of carbon fiber for exterior components and trim in the interiors is the latest trend. McLaren is a luxury brand that specializes in powerful models. Now the British supercar brand is offering customers a chance to give their McLaren vehicles a facelift with a range of carbon fiber add-ons.
All the new carbon fiber accessories have been made McLaren’s special operations division, MSO and they are available for the 12C, 650S, and 675LT. The carbon fiber components that are available as a part of the new range include mirror arms, rear diffusers and even louvered front fenders. Using these three items can help save weight and increase airflow, giving the models the ultimate edge when it comes to performance on the track.
When it comes to the interiors the range includes steering wheels made of carbon fiber, carbon fiber sill tops, and even carbon fiber vent bezels. Customers can get the new upgrades made by the MSO from McLaren dealerships. Both existing and new customers can get these components to make their McLaren the most powerful and stylish vehicles on the road.
