Launch UK, which is one of the leading manufacturers of automotive diagnostics equipment in the UK has debuted a new BST-860 battery tester system, which serves as a complete testing solution for automotive technicians. The BST-860 can be used for testing 6 V, 12 V and 24 V batteries, in addition to Stop/Start batteries and other related electrical systems. It comprises an integrated thermal printer, so that the technicians can print out a testing report that they can hand over to customers.
The BST-860 produces a quick and accurate test result, as it performs the complete test in just three seconds, with the outcomes being either a clear ‘Good’ or ‘To replace’ command. The system has an in-built calibration system and hence can be used for a wide range of vehicle types which can include passenger cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. The BST-860 has a large inbuilt LCD screen which has a user-friendly interface and even a backlight. The battery tester system has an industrial case design and is made of ABS acid-proof plastic, and this makes it ideal for use in repair workshops.
Some of the notable features of the system that technicians would love include simultaneous detection of the battery and circuit system; a USB port which can be used for exporting service records; a multiple languages menu and a support automatic temperature compensation function.
Launch UK provides a wide range of technical support services through the official Launch UK website, www.launchtech.co.uk. They include troubleshooting guides, software errors, customer forums, setup guides, common service procedures, official Launch software bulletins, vehicle coverage and DTC codes.
