Kia Motors America has announced that it has extended its current relationship with SiriusXM for another five years, upto the 2023. All customers who buy or lease Kia vehicles will continue to get a three-month introductory SiriusXM All Access subscription, which is the most expansive programming package which SiriusXM offers and includes streaming through the SiriusXM mobile app. The SiriusXM app offers over 200 channels of content, including several exclusive online-only channels, and thousands of hours of on-demand content so that listeners can hear more of what they want, when they want it. They will also get a three-month subscription to the SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link infotainment services.
Drivers can use SiriusXM Traffic to get information about traffic, road closures, accidents and construction so that they can avoid congested route. SiriusXM Travel Link provides users with timely and helpful information regarding fuel prices, movie listings, sports scores and stock prices.
Commenting on the extension of the partnership, Orth Hedrick, VP, Strategy & Planning for KMA said that the ongoing relationship with SiriusXM would provide Kia customers with access to SiriusXM’s extensive offering of audio entertainment and infotainment services. They would benefit from a wide range of programming choices including hundreds of channels of commercial-free music, plus live sports, comedy, news and more, thus further enhancing their Kia experience in the coming years.
James Wu, VP, Automotive Partnerships for SiriusXM said that Kia has continued to distinguish itself as a major manufacturer of safe, dependable and affordable vehicles, and its recent top ranking in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, and IIHS Top Safety Pick ratings attests to the standing of the company.
Wu added, “Their customers are very loyal and we are pleased to extend our long-term relationship to continue to provide those customers with the benefit of SiriusXM’s exceptional audio entertainment and infotainment services.”
