For the fifth consecutive year, Karcher, the leading provider of cutting-edge cleaning technology and solutions, will become an official supplier at next year’s Dakar Rally. The company will also sponsor the Mini X-Raid and KTM teams.
Commenting on Karcher’s involvement at the Dakar Rally, Mazen Abou Chakra, Export sales director, said that it is a great pleasure to be involved in this high-octane event as the onlookers and participants could easily forget about the cleanliness of the area, but that is where they are the superstars. “It is a challenging environment, but it is also the best moment to prove our machines capabilities.”
The company will ensure that vehicles are kept clean by installing leaning stations with additional powerful pressure washers and wet and dry vacuum cleaners from the professional series at two bivouacs in Salta, Argentina and Uyuni, Bolivia. The vehicles of the teams will undergo thorough cleaning before they hit the road on the next day.
Karcher’s advanced equipment at the event enables waster savings of nearly 80 percent compared to standard car washing with water hose and sponge usage. Moreover, high pressure is an eco-friendly alternative to chemicals, and results in better and faster cleaning. The waste water will thoroughly be collected and recycled at the cleaning centers.
Karcher’s service was highly appreciated during its participation in the past events of Dakar Rally. This year alone, around 2,000 racing and support vehicles were washed in the company’s three cleaning centers along the route, thereby boosting the safety of racing drivers. Karcher’s high pressure equipment demonstrated high efficiency and quality in these challenging conditions.
The 2016 Dakar Rally will be held in Argentina and Bolivia, respectively starting January 3.
