Innova Electronics Corp. has set up a new pision named Innova Telematics Solutions after a deal in which it acquired Aftermarket Telematics Technologies LLC (ATT) and its pision that handles its Vehimatics connected car technology.
Innova Telematics Solutions will be based at Innova’s corporate headquarters in Irvine, California and will be helmed by Mike Fitzgerald, who will serve as the pision’s executive vice president and general manager. Jim Dykstra, the former president of ATT, will now take up the position of director of telematics for Innova Telematics Solutions.
Dykstra has an extensive background in telematics. He set up ATT in 2011 while working as the CEO of Dykstra’s Auto Service. He formed Dytech Automotive Group in 2015, to form the strategy for acquisition of future shops and to steer current shops in the right direction. He plays an active role in the auto industry and is currently a member of the Auto Care Association board of directors and its telematics work group.
Speaking about the formation of the new pision, its executive Vice President and General Manager, Mike Fitzergald said that by combining Innova Fleet Services and Vehimatics connected car technology under one umbrella, the company will be able to offer the automotive aftermarket a full suite of telematics solutions. Irrespective of whether the customer is a service provider, parts distributor or fleet manager, Innova Telematics Solutions can provide customers with the remote diagnostics, business intelligence, and parts and vehicle management technology they need to remain competitive.
