HUBB Filters has published three new white papers explaining how fleets can save money with oil analysis and the correct use of oil filters. The three white papers cover the topics “Is Your Oil Filter Short Changing Your Engine’s Protection?,” “Reduce Your Oil Change Costs By Up to 50 Percent” and “How to Set Up An Oil Analysis Program.”
Commenting on the white papers, HUBB CEO Scott Killips said that the company wanted to help fleet managers by publishing these papers as they can reduce their oil management costs and reduce engine risk by implementing simple process changes in tandem with the installation of the HUBB filter. Hubb’s customers save as much as 30-50 percent on their oil change costs.
The white papers help readers develop a clear understanding of oil filtration. This is a topic that many, including fleet owners tend to overlook and misunderstand. They fail to understand that even a simple piece of equipment like the oil filter can make a significant difference in terms of cost and provides them with an easy means to save money.
The white paper dealing with technology states that fleets have many options when it comes to oil filter technology. Though conventional filters appear to be cheaper, reusable filters are cheaper in the long runner as they offer consumers better design and material. So, they are more effective and efficient when it comes to engine lubrication.
The white paper on reducing oil changes by 50 percent talks about the general guideline that oil needs to be changed every 3,000 miles or every three months. According to the paper, the advancements that have been made in oil and oil filter technology now means that this guideline needs to be revised. The paper discusses at length some of the innovations and best practices and a preventive maintenance plan which can help optimize a fleet’s oil change regimen.
The white paper on oil analysis explains why it is necessary for every fleet to have an oil analysis program in place as it gives fleet operators and owners objectivity and peace of mind when it comes to decisions about how to optimize and reduce oil change costs.
“Based on our extensive research and experience in this arena, these white papers are designed to expand the fleet owner’s perspective on the impact of modern technology on oil filtration,” concluded Killips.
HUBB collected field test results which revealed that use of HUBB oil filters along with independent oil analysis can help a typical 2,000-vehicle fleet save USD 500,000 over a four-year period. The company claims that its filters deliver superior filtration, engine protection and more speed and volume of oil flow and these claims are backed by independent tests.
