Just recently, Hitachi Automotive Systems has announced that it halved the width of both lenses of its stereo camera and has fitted it to Suzuki’s Hustler (X, X Turbo, specially-equipped J STYLE II).
The Japanese company’s stereo camera is a sensor which identifies the outside environment and can spot the size, position and speed of a number of three-dimensional objects. It has applied image recognition processing technology to support safe driving, including vehicle/pedestrian collision mitigation, lane sway warning, lane departure warning, erroneous start prevention and lead vehicle start alert.
The cutting-edge device has also been implemented for the Suzuki Spacia and Spacia Custom mini vehicles released in May this year, as well as Solio and Solio Bandit compact vehicles.
