Forgeline Motorsports has signed on as an official sponsor of the Pirelli World Challenge for 2018. Forgeline decided to become a sponsor of the event based on their longstanding involvement with the series.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Dave Schardt, president of Forgeline Motorsports said that racing is a part of the company’s history and it was always a goal to become a sponsor of the Pirelli World Challenge.
Forgeline has been an active participant in the series since it has adopted its present name and its wheels have been chosen by many participants in the past 20 years. As Dave Schardt recalled, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Forgeline was one of the only US based manufacturers of custom race wheels and at least half of the participants used Forgeline wheels.”
RealTime Racing founder and competitor Peter Cunningham who has used Forgeline wheels in many races over the years said that racers opt for Forgeline wheels due to a number of reasons, including their light weight, strength and build quality. They also look great on the cars
When it comes to homologation, Forgeline is the only US made wheel in the GTS field and has been chosen for the Mustang GT4, the Camaro GT4R and the Panoz Avezzano.
Greg Gill, president and CEO of the Pirelli World Challenge Championships said the series was pleased to have Forgeline onboard as an official sponsor of the Pirelli World Challenge, adding that the brand’s legacy of quality and performance was a welcome addition to the series.
