Federal-Mogul Powertrain has added another feather to its cap after the Volvo Group acknowledged its excellence in supplier delivery performance, with one award and a nomination in a second category at this year’s 2016 Volvo Group Purchasing Supplier Awards.
The American automotive supplier was chosen as the winning company for Delivery Excellence and was also a top contender in the Fuel Efficiency and Innovation Excellence category. Success in the Awards process, which acknowledges suppliers that offer the best possible products and services to the Volvo Group, further verifies Federal-Mogul’s commitment to offering huge advances in powertrain technology for its engine manufacturer partners.
The Delivery Excellence award came in association with the supply of engine bearings used in most of Volvo’s truck engines manufactured at Federal-Mogul Powertrain’s factory in Gdansk, Poland. Apart from meeting the demand of all the Volvo Group engine production facilities, Federal-Mogul was acknowledged for its service-minded flexibility and success in addressing logistics challenges with a cooperative mindset to maintain a solid supply of components.
Speaking at the recently held Awards presentation ceremony in Gothenburg, Sweden, Federal-Mogul Co-CEO and CEO of Federal-Mogul Powertrain, Rainer Jueckstock, said that the Volvo Group Delivery Excellence award celebrates Federal-Mogul’s commitment to meet and surpass its customers’ expectations, in all aspects of the relationship – from product innovation to just-in-time delivery and service. “We are honored by this endorsement from the Volvo Group and the nomination in two categories demonstrates our deep understanding of the importance of providing the highest level of engine technologies and customer service.”
Jueckstock concluded that the nomination for Fuel Efficiency and Innovation Excellence in the Volvo Group Purchasing Supplier Awards is a huge recognition for them. He noted that Federal-Mogul Powertrain is committed to the development and commercialization of new technologies that enable advances in emissions performance and fuel efficiency and the recognition of this by the Awards’ judging panel is very welcome.
