2016 will be a big year for DENSO as it will take next month’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas by storm where the Japanese company will utilize virtual and augmented reality platforms to demonstrate how its technology can make life smarter, easier and safer.
By visiting DENSO’s booth (#2131) in the North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, visitors will get a chance to explore and experience how vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technologies can help create not just a safer but more convenient mobile world. These technologies are claimed to help with hazard warnings on highways and country roads, accident avoidance and collision avoidance for off-road vehicles.
Doug Patton, executive vice president of Engineering at DENSO International America, Inc., said in a statement that it is their goal at DENSO to use their technology to create a smarter, safer and more convenient world. He added that apart from the road, they are also exploring how their technology and components could be applied far beyond the automobile, like in agriculture or health care. “We want our technology to lead to better quality of life for people around the world.”
The exhibit of the Japanese company will also feature a Wellness Monitoring System to measure biometrics such as heart rate and blood pressure and a gaze detection system for the automobile that monitors eye movement and responds based on where the driver is looking in a vehicle cockpit.
This year’s CES will take place from January 6 to 9.
